We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to join the IT team of our fast-growing digital advertising network


The Operational Support Engineer will be responsible for providing all aspects of technical support to colleagues, our NHS partners and occasionally to advertising clients.


Key areas of responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Assisting with the monitoring and maintenance of operational systems
  • Production and Management of our Technical Documentation
  • Occasional assistance with system development tasks


Reporting structure


Reportable to: IT Manager

Accountable to: Operations Director


Location: The Operational Support Engineer will be based at our offices in Newark.


Role and responsibilities:

  • Provide front line technical support to internal users and NHS partners
  • Support implementation and on-boarding of new partners
  • Help to diagnose and resolve technical problems and identify improvements to services
  • Produce and maintain technical and end user documentation
  • Responsible for maintaining our IT Management System to ISO27001 standards
  • Routine maintenance of company systems, including some scope for development work
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders


Key attributes and competencies

  • Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting ability
  • A passion for diagnosing and solving complex technical problems
  • Highly planned and organised with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience of working in a high pressured environment working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies, tools and processes
  • A pro-active self-starter who takes ownership of issues until resolution


Professional experience

  • 1+ year prior IT support experience
  • Good working knowledge of Office and Excel and other Microsoft Software
  • Nice to Have – Experience with digital advertising platforms
  • Knowledge of some or all of the following technical areas: Windows Server administration, IIS, asp.net (C# and Vb.net), MySQL, SharePoint, PHP, JavaScript, AWS, Linux administration, Golang, MongoDB
