Information we collect as part of a contractual relationship

When we enter into a contractual agreement to provide or obtain products and services we will store key contact information for the fulfilment of the service in question.  This information will include names, job titles, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses.  It may also include business correspondence related to the provision of service.  We shall continue to hold and process this information for the duration of the contract.

 

Information we collect through delivery of advertising

When we deliver advertising our systems may place cookies and javascript on pages where banner ads are displayed.   The information we collect and process is dependent on where ads are displayed:

 

Advertising on public facing websites

We do not profile visitors to public facing web sites, nor do we collect any personal data on these users.

 

Advertising on private (intranet) websites

When we deliver advertising to NHS Trusts and Health Boards we target advertising according to a user’s job specialism rather than specific individuals. As part of this activity we may record a unique but anonymous ID to enable us to perform statistical analyses of audience communities (e.g. the numbers of doctors receiving ad messages).

We store for statistical purposes a list of identified job specialisms each time an ad is requested from us.

We do not collect or store any information that would allow us to identify or track an individual. Nor do we share any personal information with advertisers or any other organisations.

Our ad targeting and delivery processes are reviewed and approved by our partner organisations’ Commercial, IT and Governance teams as part of our contract with them.

 

Information you provide via our website or associated sites

If you fill in a form on our web site or submit a support e-mail , we will store the information you have provided in our systems where relevant (such as our CRM systems and support ticketing system)

Your act of sharing your information with us will constitute consent to process and use your information for the purposes described in the relevant form and for no other purposes.

Some of our business systems may be web based ‘software as a service’ systems provided by third parties, who will constitute data processors.  We will only use such systems where they comply with all relevant data protection legislation.

 

Website usage information

We may use javascript code embedded in our websites to collect information about pages you view, how you reached the page, what you do when you visit a page, how long you remain on the page.  We do not associate this information with an identifiable person.

When you visit our website our server will also log the time of a visit and the IP address from which your visit came, we do not associate this information with an identifiable person, log file information is deleted periodically and only used for server administration and maintenance purposes.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
